The Gullah Color Co. was born from a love of family, faith, storytelling, and the rich cultural heritage of the Gullah Geechee people.
What began as a desire to create meaningful children’s books celebrating God, family, love, and our Gullah Geechee heritage has grown into something much bigger—a publishing home for stories inspired by the many chapters of life.
At The Gullah Color Co., we believe our stories deserve to be told, our experiences deserve to be shared, and our heritage deserves to be preserved for generations to come.
Our books and eBooks may take readers into the joyful world of children and family, explore the strength and sacrifice of caregivers, celebrate the journeys of Solo Moms, share the beauty of our faith, or simply remind us of the traditions and places that feel like home.
Our inspiration comes from the things we hold close: God and faith. Family and love. Gullah Geechee culture and traditions. Food prepared with history and heart. The outdoors. The beauty of our beaches and coastal communities. And the everyday experiences that become part of our family legacy.

The mission of The Gullah Color Co. is to create and publish meaningful books and eBooks that inspire, encourage, educate, preserve, and connect generations through faith, family, culture, love, and life experiences.
Through authentic storytelling, we seek to celebrate our Gullah Geechee heritage while also creating space for stories about childhood, caregiving, motherhood, faith, food, family traditions, coastal living, and the many experiences that shape who we are.
We are committed to creating works that readers can see themselves in, learn from, share with their families, and pass down to future generations.
